Info: Duck has an affinity with birds, having been one herself, so when she was given Gurren as a starter, they hit it off right away. He's quite friendly towards her, likes to sit on her shoulder, coos affectionately at her, but he's not the brightest bird in the cage. He's greedy with his food, and quick to anger, and Duck is as yet inexperienced as a trainer so she has trouble reining him in. Does not like Klara. | ||||

Info: Klara has pecks of steel (despite not having Big Pecks as an ability). Duck first met her stealing food from Gurren, a pokémon twice her level. And despite progressively louder and angrier squawks, she just sat there and continued placidly pecking at the bread, until Gurren, like an idiot, used Gust at her and scattered the food, at which point she gave as good as she got. She doesn't hold any particular dislike of Gurren, but since he doesn't like her, Duck can't have them both out at the same time. | ||||

Info: Albrecht was hatched from an egg given to Duck by Karkat. She didn't specify which pokemon she wanted and Karkat didn't ask, and Duck had never seen a zubat before, so it completely blindsided her when Albrecht hatched and flipped the fuck out. It turned out that Albrecht, like all zubats, is quite sensitive to sunlight, and flipping out was just his way of saying "THE LIGHT, HOW IT BURNS!" and then he tried to hide in her hair. This is a pretty bad first impression to overcome, but Al does seem to like his trainer, if only because her hair is so big and a good place to hide in. | ||||
