3rd Position - Backdating Extravaganza - Video and Action
[Good evening, Johto. Have I got a post for you. Duck has been a very busy bird in the past couple of days, but I don't want to obnoxiously spam the community with back-to-back posts, both of which would be backdated in any case. So I'm gonna label each scenario with a letter, so you guys can specify which one you're responding to. Also, you can respond to both scenarios if you want.]
A- [ACTION, June 9th, midafternoon] Duck is waiting by the beach in Cherrygrove. She's ready to go swimming with Ty Lee and incidentally try out that thing she saw Kanade's pokémon doing the other day. She's still not sure how a Splash battle will help with training, but Kanade looked like she knew what she was doing so Duck figured it couldn't hurt to try. While this was mainly planned with just Ty Lee in mind, Duck wouldn't mind extra company.]
B [VIDEO, June 10th, morning] [Duck is in a small room in the Cherrygrove Inn. It's a bit of a mess. There's a bowl in the middle of the cloor with birdseed scattered about, and Klara the Pidgey is sitting on the zubat egg in a pile of bedsheets on the bed. Not that Duck knows, at this point, that the egg contains a zubat. She hasn't even had the 'pleasure' of a zubat encounter yet. Today, this will change. But for now, she's preoccupied with a more familiar worry. She turned on the pokegear for a reason, you know.]
Does anyone know if there's a dance school somewhere in Johto? I miss dancing, and my teacher always said-
[There's a faintly audible crack, but more importantly, Klara begins raising a ruckus. She leaps off the egg like her life depends on it, vocalizing in agitation. Pi, Piii! Pidgey, and so on and so forth. Duck turns around to see what the matter is, and grins.]
Omigosh! The egg is hatching!

[So excited, you guys! Now you get a close-up of the egg, which is indeed cracking. Klara flutters back down and lands next to it, while Duck watches the egg intently. It takes another minute before the pokémon cracks its shell enough to emerge. The moment it does, there's a split-second where everything is perfectly still. The next second, the newborn has launched himself into the air, flapping and screeching like a mad thing. Duck jerks backward in surprise.]
Quaaaaaa-! Is that supposed to- Aaack!
[Although the room has plenty of space for a young flying type to stretch its wings, the zubat, like most bats, seems to have a preference for flapping right in Duck's face and hair. She raises her arms to protect her head, knocking over the pokégear, and ending the transmission.]
